Visual Identity

The Child

THE CHILD

Representing the human form, its small arms stretched outward and upward, suggesting hope and/or triumph.

The Three Fold

THE THREE-FOLD COMPONENT

The tripartite nature of the symbol is unmistakable. Three smaller circles (which represent the three children) the three oval shapes that make up the circle, the three branches that spread out from the centre signify:
  • three languages and three cultures : English, French and Aboriginal
  • three members of a family: father, mother, child
  • three components of a person : mind, body, spirit
The three oval shapes are separate yet together.

The Circle

THE CIRCLE

The circle is a very warm, organic, natural shape, suggesting unity, harmony, growth and is an important part of the Aboriginal culture.

The Symbol

THE SYMBOL

Visual identity incorporating all key elements in a synergistic symbol whose whole exceeds the sum of its parts. Not everyone will see everything with the same prominence and in the same order. Some will focus on certain elements, others will focus on quite different elements.
