THERAPEUTIC FOSTER CARE PROGRAM

Purpose of program:

Therapeutic Foster Care Program provides children with complex needs, with clinical multi-disciplinary support from trained and supervised Treatment Foster Parents, allowing them the opportunity to live within a family setting. This is a long-term placement that provides treatment throughout their stages of development.

All treatment is individually developed specific to the child. Clinically Managed Access is planned to enable the bio-families the opportunity to be a healthy part of the child’s life.

Admission criteria and process:

Children, until 12 years of age at the time of admission, in the care of CAS and their families, with treatment needs beyond the scope of regular foster care.

Children are admitted through the Admission Committee comprised of CAS and CFC members.
