SUPERVISED ACCESS PROGRAM

Purpose of program:

The Supervised Access Program is operated under contract with the Ministry of the Attorney General. The goal is to provide a safe, neutral and child focused setting for exchanges and/or visits between children and visiting parents or other family members and to decrease conflict and stress surrounding access to and/or exchange of children for separated/divorced families.

Services provided include:
  • supervised visits between visiting parents or relatives and their child(ren) in a safe, child-focused environment. The visits are monitored by trained staff who are sensitive to the needs of the children;
  • supervised exchanges provide a neutral place where parents can drop off and pick up the child(ren). The parents do not have any contact with one another.
  • Factual reports of what happens during parent/child contacts are available for a fee to the lawyers, participants and courts as requested.

Admission criteria and process:

    Participants may wish to use our services voluntarily or may be ordered by the courts in custody and access disputes.
    To access services please call the Program Coordinator at 566-5866 ext. 2565
