OUTREACH

Purpose of program:

To provide children and youth with severe emotional/behavioural difficulties with appropriate assessment, consultation, treatment planning, and intervention services.

To include immediate and future planning for the child/youth within the context of his/her family and community.

To engage communities and families in treatment planning.

Admission criteria and process:

For high behavioural needs, high risk children/youth between the ages of 12 and 17, who are non-compliant and resistant to engage in traditional mental heatlth services.

Location(s):

The services will be delivered in an environment deemed most appropriate to child/youth and his family: at home, at school, or in the community.
